Too Much Too Soon

My PIC line is supposed to come out today. I've had 2 rounds of hydration treatments and my doctor says I look much better. I feel better at least as far as the eating and drinking go. I went to see the nutritionist and she recommended some other supplements that I'm actually able to tolerate. I'm still not able to keep everything down that I eat, but it is MUCH better than before.

My energy level is for shit though. My mom's been coming over and packing for me while I lay in the bed and moan. When I do get up, I'm either setting stuff up online (like cleaning service, new alarm system, repair estimates for the house) or we are making a run to the house to drop off what she has already packed. I ended up bringing 2 throw pillows for me to lay on at the house so I can rest in between driving trips. I know I shouldn't be doing all this stuff, but I'm running out of time to be out of my apartment. June 16th is the deadline.

My knee is just shot. A few months back I mentioned my knee bothering me to my PCP. She had some x-rays done and said it was early arthritis. The other day I was in my garage and my knee sort of twisted and now I walk with a severe limp. And then if I've been walking or doing too many things my side will hurt. So just imagine me walking with a severe limp and clutching my side. PATHETIC! Getting up out of a chair or sofa and trying to get in and out of the car is just an absolute chore. 33 years old and just falling apart!

Care For A Drink?

Although I'm home, I'm extremely ill. Turns out I'm dehydrated. I had an appointment with my doctor 2 weeks ago and I explained that I wasn't able to drink much water (let alone the recommended 8 glasses) nor stomach the supplement shakes they recommended. Things I were eating were coming back up and I was afraid I would become dehydrated. Well, I was right.

I went in yesterday and had a 3rd Upper GI performed. Everything appears to be working, so my doctor decided to put me on hydration treatments. He wanted to hospitalize me but I flat out refused. So we opted for home health care. Which means I had to have a PIC line placed in my arm so that I can have an IV drip at home. The PIC line was placed this morning. So here I am, attached to an IV bag, carrying around the IV pole and just basically looking even more pathetic than ever.

The stupid disability people at my job think I should be well enough to return to work on Monday. Yeah, right! I got tubes dangling out of my arm and I'm carrying around a freaking IV pole! Not exactly ideal for my work enviornment. I can just see me yelling at folks to watch my IV lines and stop bumping into my pole. DUMB ASSES!
